Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse : Ending Explained

 Hey guys! Alright! So, it must have been fun watching spider-man across the spider-verse. But the moment the movie ends, all the fun gets stuck somewhere. But there's nothing to worry about. I'll try to answer all the questions that are there. And it goes without saying, because this is an ending explained article, so there will be spoilers about the entire movie in this article. So, i'm giving a big spoiler alert.


Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Exploring the Character Perspective and the Main Villain, Spot

So, like all the ending explained articles, let's start watching this one from the character perspective. First, we'll talk about the main villain of the movie, spot. So, spot is basically the main villain of the movie. But we gradually get to know about him. Basically, his story is very well tied up with miles' story. Not only with his story, but also with his origin. In fact, in such a good way that spot becomes miles' arch-nemesis, who is responsible for his origin. Because in this movie, we get to know that the spider that bites miles, doesn't belong to this earth, but to earth 42. The same earth from where the spot, jonathan, came on. 


The Connection Between the Spider Bite and Earth 42: Unveiling the Origins

Now, basically, when we see this spider in the first part, it had 42 numbers written on it. And the spider that bites miles in the comic books, has the same number written on it. But the scene in the comic books is a little different. Basically, in the comic books, there is no scene of super collider or alchemax. The spider that bites miles is not the spider of the 42 universe, but the spider of 42 numbers. And it has the oz formula inside it, which is a goblin serum. And that's why no one was able to connect it to the 42 universe. People thought that it was the spider of 42 numbers. So, jonathan on, the spot, basically brought this spider from that universe to this universe.


Spot's Acquisition of Powers and Dangers Unleashed: The Super Collider Experiment

 But more than that, miles is responsible for all of his powers, that is, the powers of the spot. Because when the entire super collider explodes, through that, jonathan gets the powers of his spot, which makes so many bumps on his body. And he finds out later that those bumps are nothing but big portals to go to other dimensions. Now, miles never takes this thing seriously. When he tells him, miles calls him a weakling villain. And jonathan takes this thing very seriously. He gets angry and he starts to prove himself. But jonathan has a shortage of the spot. 

So, to increase his power even more, he tries to recreate the experiment of the same super collider. And wherever he finds super colliders in the universe, he starts to draw his powers from there. As a result, he becomes even more powerful. And in the end, his powers become so dangerous that he can show miles the future of his father's death.

 Now, what will happen next? What will the spot do with miles? We will find out in beyond the spider-verse. But after the scene in mumbleton, we didn't see the spot in the entire movie. And the last appearance of the spot is only through a portal. Where it only appears in earth-1610. And after that, the movie ends. 

So, i'm guessing that we will see the spot in beyond the spider-verse. But if i think about it, i realize that there is not much to show about the spot. Because we have seen its origin, we have seen the extent of its powers. And most probably, when beyond the spider-verse starts, miles will try to stop it directly. Because we are near the endgame. 

So, as far as i think, the spot is not going to be the main villain of beyond the spider-verse. And most probably, this guy will be defeated in the first half of the movie. And the main villain of this movie will be someone else entirely. 


Miguel O'Hara and the Canon Event Twist: Traumatic Experiences and the Sacred Timeline

It's possible that miguel o'hara, who we will find out that there is something else in beyond the spider-verse. Or some other villain, who we saw at the end of this movie. I mean, the second variant of miles morales, evil miles. We will talk about him later. Moving on, let's talk about miguel o'hara. Who is actually spider-man. I mean, the spider-man of miles morales, is known as his revelation. In this movie, we saw another plot twist. In which, we were told about a thing called as canon event. And according to that, every spider-man's life has to have a captain's death. Which will create a traumatic experience. Which will shape that spider-man's life. And if you see, every spider-man's life has that experience. 

They show a clip of amazing spider-man's comic. Which is very popular. This happens in the story of our comic book spider-man. But then, in the movie, miles goes to pavitra's life and changes that. I mean, he saves captain singh. Because of which pavitra's reality starts collapsing. Canon event gets disrupted. So, pavitra's future is in a big danger. But miguel is not happy about this. He himself disrupted a big canon event in his life. By replacing his own variant with his own. Now basically, the whole canon event thing, is similar to marvel's sacred timeline. That there is a sacred timeline which everyone has to follow. And if no one follows it, things will start to branch out. And miguel has made his entire team of spider-verse.


Evil Miles Morales and the Multiverse: Intriguing Parallel Versions

You can imagine spider-people as tva. Which is trying to keep all the spider-people's canon event in place. And if their canon event gets disrupted, then they start to save their reality from collapsing. On the other hand, tva used to blow up their entire timeline. And because of this, miguel tells miles that, in your life, the captain who will become, i mean, your own father, he will also die. And the spot has shown miles his father's death. Because he has to take revenge for his own things. And after understanding the disruption of this entire canon event, miles starts to rebel. But when he tries to return to his earth, he ends up in the wrong path, on earth-42. Where he actually gets to see his own evil version. Which is, prowler. Now to be honest, i found this scene to be very good. Because i hadn't imagined this in the entire movie.

 And when it was going on, i couldn't have predicted this twist at all. I thought everything would be normal from here. And just avel, miles and his uncle, together, catch our miles. And on the other hand, we see that, gwen has figured out all of this. Because gwen, to help him, reaches the right earth. She has sorted out all the things with her dad. But when she reaches his house to find miles, she realizes that, miles has reached the wrong earth, not his own. So that's it, we find out in the second scene, that she has started to gather other spiderman. Which is, the team from into the spider-verse. Which means, peter p parker, and his daughter, may day parker. 

This time, luckily, there's also spiderman noir from nicolas cage. There's also spider-ham. There's also penny parker. So, we'll also see pavitra prabhakar in this team. Most probably, spider-punk. Which means, hobby brown too. And it's possible that, as people explore more in beyond the spider-verse, this team will start to grow even more. But before we move ahead, let's talk about some interesting things. And that is, about miles being evil. So, look, in comic books too, there are evil versions of miles. Now basically, miles morales belongs to the ultimate universe. 

Which means, he's not a part of the main marvel 616. But through the secret wars event, he thought of rebooting his universe. And miles morales' spider-man was just one of those, who he picked up and threw into the main marvel 616 universe. But then the question comes, if the miles morales of the ultimate universe, comes in 616, then what about the miles morales of 616? So, the answer to that is very simple. The story is very interesting. So, there's a guy named ultimatum, who is completely evil. And he does this, he hires a crawler, miles' uncle, to capture miles. But miles' uncle knows miles' reality. And he knows that miles is a good guy. So, he goes to him and tells him, that there's a plan being made against you. So, you better be careful. But then, miles himself attacks miles. Both miles fight each other.

 He doesn't understand what's going on. But the imposter miles, catches our miles. When the real miles wakes up, he realizes that he's standing in front of someone else. The imposter miles takes off his mask. And our good miles realizes, that the guy standing in front of him, is actually a clone of this miles. But the twist doesn't end here. Because the guy who did all this, the ultimatum guy, was none other than, the miles morales of 616. Who is completely evil. So, yes, brothers and sisters, if the miles morales in the ultimate universe, is a good human and a spider-man, then the miles morales of the main marvel 616, in which peter parker is a spider-man, is an evil lassan. So, nothing happens. They defeat him, and leave. His clone dissolves. But the evil miles' story doesn't end here. 

Basically, in miles' clone saga, his clones are made in the future too. Out of which, there are 3 clones. One of them is named salim. There are 2 more, but they're not important. Now, miles defeats salim, and it seems like he's been killed. But later, in miles' adventure, when he's travelling the multiverse, he realizes that, there's a universe, where he lost that fight, and salim is ruling that place. And in that reality, he has taken over new york. 

And he's going to sacrifice peter parker. So, i was just telling you, that it's not like, we're only getting to see, the evil versions of miles morales, in the animated movies. It's also in the comic books. But yes, it's quite interesting to watch in an animated movie. Because he's a prowler. And if we talk about, how miles will get out of this tricky situation, in beyond the spider-verse. If you pay attention to this scene, when miles is tied up with the chain, we see a small electric spark in his finger. Which means, he's planning to do his venom strike. 

Which means, that he'll probably do his venom strike very soon. And he'll get out of that situation. Then in the next scene, we'll see a great battle between miles and miles. But from this, we can also understand, that the evil miles, is a very hardcore type of fighter. And he knocked out miles, who has the spider-powers, in just one punch. So that is also saying something. But after this, a big question arises, that what about pavitra prabhakar? Her reality, due to the disruption of the canon event, had started collapsing completely.


Expectations and Questions for Beyond the Spider-Verse

 Although, the spider-people, were trying to save her. So as far as i think, there are very few chances, that they would have been able to save mumbattan. It's possible that, in beyond the spider-verse, we'll see a half-empty mumbattan, who is acting in a collapsed reality and on top of that, a big problem is that the story arc of pavitra prabhakar stopped in the middle if captain singh had died, then we would have seen a different pavitra prabhakar who would have followed the path of spider-man but now he will keep on doing tt well, it is possible that in beyond the spider-verse they give him a different story and provide a different character arc which will make us understand that there is not only one canon event in a spider-man story we get more opportunities in the future but then again, this is what i thought then the next big question is that what will happen in beyond the spider-verse look, there is no concrete information about this yet and we don't even know there is a big question mark on everything if you watch the ending of the movie, you understand some things like first of all, where this movie ended beyond the spider-verse will start from there because first of all, the ending of the movie is very ambiguous and second thing is that the movie is going to move very fast and third thing is that what do they have to show in beyond the spider-verse because across the spider-verse has already ended on a gigantic climactic battle so what will you show in beyond the spider-verse? Climactic battle?


Conclusion: Anticipating the Release and Reflecting on the Unresolved Plotlines

 I mean, to show a movie, you should have a substance, a story so you will have to make a complete story in the third part you will have to draw the characters and that is what i want to see well, we will get the answers to all these things in march 2024 because then this movie is being released but before that, what do you think?
